Received an email asking to confirm availability for telephone interview. Interviewed by hiring manager and passed the first stage and was notified of this within 7 days. Second stage interview was with the hiring manager and HR

I had an unexpected phone call from a company's representative expecting to schedule a phone interview. Instead of that she started asking me questions in English and based on my answers assessed my English. 10 minute talk over the phone is definitely not enough to evaluate ones knowledge even for pre selection.
