The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PepsiCo (La Canada Flintridge, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
One on one, he asked 5-6 situational questions that related to my past work experiences. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. I have only gone through the 1st round so far so I am waiting to hear from them (it has been about 2 weeks) I was told it could take up to a month. Before the interview just think of tough situations you have dealt with and how you responded to them.
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PepsiCo in Nov 2010
Interview
The first interview was with HR and recruiters. They asked the typical questions like "why PepsiCo" and questions about work experience. They mostly just want to learn about you in the 1st round of interviews. This consisted of 2 interviews, both on the same day, one right after the other. The first interview was 1 on 1. It went well, fairly easy. 2nd interview was 2 on 1. They asked most of the same questions as the first interview but wanted to know what I was hoping to get out of the internship.
The final round was behavioral interview, asking questions like "Tell us a time when you solved a technical problem" or "How did you resolve a disagreement". The final round was with two PepsiCo employees and was definitely harder that the 1st round. They wanted clear concise answers.
