I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at ServiceTitan in Aug 2020
Interview
Employee Referral - The Recruiter was upfront letting me know that there were few candidates that they are seriously considering already.
First Interview was with a Hiring Manager - it was very easy
I was asked to put together a PPT by choosing 1 out of 5 topics. There was a rough template. I put together a fairly detailed PPT (maybe spent way too much time on the PPT). I presented the PPT to a group of 4 Interviewers including Hiring Manager.
Then there was a set of four 1:1 Interviews with Hiring Team --- 3 of the Interviews went well; I could have done better in the 3rd Interview which was more technical in Nature.
Interestingly the feedback from interview was that they wanted 1 more Interview with Tech focus --- this time I prepared a lot and the 5th Interview was a breeze.
So the recruiter said that 5th Interview feedback was really good --- but they are still collecting feedback from Interview Panel before an formal offer can be presented -- but Interestingly I was provided an "Unofficial Projected Offer Terms" so that it will be starting place for offer negotiations
Then my luck started going south - the recruiter again came and said that they have one more strong referral candidate they had to interview --- after a few days they said that they made an offer to other candidate.
All in all the entire saga from initial referral to final rejection took 70 days
I felt I could have close the deal by being little bit more prepared for the 1st Technical Interview
