Very bad experience. Slack Hr does not care about giving you call and feedback. Even if you perform well they would just go silent and they would simply say we would not proceed for this position.
They ask pretty simple question in technical coding...they give slack.db postgresql which has few tables and they would ask to write query then same query run through any language programmatically. Typical query.
Slack might be good in other places, but in india they are like any other average startup. Not a good vibe. Hr is pathetic.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Dublin, Dublin) in Feb 2020
Interview
I applied with my CV and cover letter and I received confirmation of my application. I got an email after a few days asking me to do a writing assessment within 48 hours. Not long after submitting, maybe a day or two, I got an email to set up a phone call to speak with a recruiter. After the call I was set up to have 2 phone interviews with managers. After a couple of day I was told that I would be moving into the final interview stage. Which was an afternoon in their office, where I had 3 interview with about 5 people in total and a written assessment .

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Slack (Melbourne) in Mar 2020
Interview
Poor - acquisition team sent out numerous emails with instructions and claimed that a integration issue caused a breakdown in communication. Was asked to fill in a case scenario which took over an hour to put together at standard. Then spent a further hour on the phone to acquisition team.
Was advised that further to initial interview and written work, I'd provide my availability and the hiring manager would have second interview with me. Sent several messages and received several apologies for non response - no further action was taken but they've readvertised the role twice.
'Slack' indeed.
