Slack Software Engineer interview questions

The process started slow and was extended to weeks, so make sure to catch up with the HR at regular intervals and schedule the rounds appropriately otherwise it can be extended to months. The interviewers are pretty amazing folks which asks you questions on the basis of the experiences and skills you have.

Had a tech screen interview last week. This has to be the most depressing recruiting call of my life. The recruiter apparently " senior recruiting manager" didn't show any signs that she knew anything about sales pitch and attracting talent. Started right off bat with dull questions like Why Slack, what excites you, weakness and strengths, your hometown, Why Slack is great etc. etc. Didn't think she was interested in any of the answers. I felt like I was talking to a robot who was acting as programmed. When I got off the call, I let the sigh of relief. This has to be my only depressing and tiring call with technical recruiter. Never mentions anything about Slack in general, their culture or team environment. That left me wondering why she even called. She calls me back after a week to discuss next steps. But I am so disgusted by her behavior that I told her I am no longer interested in pursuing opportunity with Slack. If someone from Slack is reading this message, you got to get better and competent technical recruiters. Have someone who is passionate about their job and can give a great sales pitch why Slack is the best place to work with. I am sure I am not the only to talented engineer who experienced this and won't be the last one.
