Interview
The full interview process with SupportYourApp for a Technical Support Consultant role turned out to be a very lengthy experience for an independent contractor position. The process started with the usual CV submission and English assessment, followed by a number of technical checks such as internet speed, system specifications, operating system license, and even confirmation that I had my own headset and backup power.
After that, they requested video interview questions about my availability, cooperation, and technical background, and about a month later I had a live interview with a recruiter. I completed everything they asked for and I matched the requirements closely for their current project.
In the end, I received a generic rejection saying my skills didn’t match their current project. I can’t help but wonder if it had more to do with the salary expectations rather than my actual qualifications, since I ticked all the boxes in terms of skills and readiness. Unfortunately, they gave no clear feedback, which made the entire process feel like a waste of time given the amount of effort involved.
