Applied online through their website. Then had a 30 min phone screen with the recruiter 1-2 weeks later. 1 or so weeks after that, I was set up for a 30 min call with one of the team members. About a week after that I had a full on-site, met with 7 team members over Zoom over 2 or so hours. None of them had their video cameras on which I found odd. Some were pleasant to talk to, others not so much. I do think it’s rather inconsiderate to ask someone to spend 2-3 hours of their day talking to 7 team members only to have some of them act like they don’t care during the meeting. On top of that, they said I would hear back from them within a week and heard back 3 weeks later only after I followed up a couple of times. No offer, oh well.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tesla (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2020
Interview
I made it to a virtual onsite interview where I chatted with a recruiter and several RC's. 2 RC's were so distracted in the interview that they couldn't remember the questions they asked me and would have me repeat my questions. Extremely rude.

Question 1
Behavioral based interview questions and questions around your passion for Tesla
Overall, the process was smooth. I had several rounds of interviews. Most of the interviews were casual and pretty easy. Everyone was friendly and wanted me to succeed. One interview, in particular, was poorly structured. Other than that, they all were fine. I then had to submit a brief intro for the executive team. Got a call the day after and the offer can after the call.
Tip: Show your passion in the interviews. Be prepared for anything.
