I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UPS (Earth City, MO) in Oct 2011
Interview
It was easy. If you don't scare easy. There was a group of maybe 40 people for an orientation. The HR Rep. explained UPS. Then he used a lot of scare tactics. He said the supervisors were mean and would get in your face if you were fast enough. It weeded out the weak people. As they just walked out. But, it wasn't true at all. My supervisor was very nice.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UPS (Orlando, FL) in Apr 2015
Interview
Went in for the job. There were a ton of people there to be interviewed but was narrowed down to 3 people, me and two other guys. They told everyone to leave if they lived in certain places, or if they had the wrong form of ID. I had a nice interview with the guy, they were mainly looking for someone who was in college, I happen to be a college student. Made me fill out a W-4 and gave me the job a week later
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at UPS (Anderson, SC) in Aug 2011
Interview
Before the shift began I walked through the center with the lead manager for the second shift. He asked me how I felt about working there. I told him that I was looking forward to it. He explained how the unload process and load process worked. It was very different from any other interview I have ever been in. He didn't ask to much ablout me but just talked about the center. But at the time I was just excited about the new job.
