I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at UPS (Maspeth, NY) in Nov 2014
Interview
The whole hiring process took more than a day. Keep in mind, a lot of people apply. The amount of work put in the hiring process doesn't make much sense considering the job is only for minimum wage. We were all crowded in to one tiny room.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (San Marcos, CA) in Nov 2014
Interview
No real interview process. Just a couple hours of training in a group setting. We watched training video's and talked about safety mostly. You go in once to the main operations facility in your area, do the training, get a debriefing pick up your brown uniform and wait to get called for the first day. If the driver likes you, then he will set up a regular time and place to meet on his route where public parking is available.
Very basic. More of them trying to sell the job to me rather than trying to sell myself as a candidate. Cam in as a group and then went in one on one with the interviewer for a 5 minute interview. Was hired on the spot.
