Through the recruiter and was a simple deal. Tested for jobs and then went through the physical process. Worth the hassle. Some time passed for background checks and etc. Physical was in depth. All travel was compensated and I got a free T-shirt out of the deal.

met with recuruiter, took asvab, scored perfect, chose job, went to boot camp, graduated boot camp, went to tech school, graduated tech school, was stationed at permanent duty station, started on the job training, became a journeyman, then a team leader.

Interview
My interview was 20 years ago so I don't recall the specifics. There were actually a number of interviews with the Recruiter, and more interviews on the day that I took the Enlisted oath. For the most part, I was asked about criminal history, drug use, personal and professional goals, and previous work experience.
