Contact a recruiter, they are more that willing to accept anyone. When you are offered a job, don't settle for what they offer. Usually reciters will only show ons that are in demand and need to be filled, wait for the job you want. Keep asking for more job opportunities before committing and ask for available bonuses.

MEPS sucks, be sure to go into a set career field that you enjoy to do, it is worth waiting to join till your job position opens up, make sure to be in good physical condition and your weight is close to the BMI weight limit

No drugs, honesty and dedication. If you want to serve your country, see the world, the United States and maybe even get stationed in you home state or town, this is a great job.
