I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Phillips Ranch, CA)

I was told that there were no open positions for a 6 month period, but that I could take the ASVAB exam to determine if I should even wait around for an opening to come up. Fortunately I scored in the 94th percentile and was able to wait for 6 months.
