University of Exeter interview questions

The whole recruitment process took months. The closing date for the post was 3rd Dec 24, after this date I was contacted and told they needed to review people that are being made redundant. Then in January I was emailed to say they would start the sift (not sure why this was not already done) and I was invited to interview on 5th Feb (so 2 months after closing date). No apology was given about the wait, the lead interviewer was bordering on rude, barely said hello, didn’t give time to introduce the team. I had prepared a presentation, he said ay the end “I’ve not got any questions” and that was it, no thank you or acknowledgment of the work I had done. At times (during the 30 mins) was on his phone, left his desk- all without any explanation. I was then told I’d hear in a week, and after 3 weeks, when I had chased the admin twice (who was very helpful) I got a response. I had realised I had not got the role, otherwise they would have e been in touch sooner- but I think just common politeness should have meant they contacted me sooner. Really bad experience.

Friendly and supportive very good experience saw some lecturers I wanted to study with and some insightful chats wasn't sure I want to go ahead I guess it must have come across in the interviews too
