Waitrose interview questions

Group interview with HR manager where we had to answer questions about what we knew about the company. Then a group exercise (building a tower with paper) to demonstrate teamwork. Then we had to pitch a product to the HR manager, without mentioning its intended use. Section Manager interview (one-to-one) was really a nice chat (a formality).

Applied online. Starts with basic details then online questionnaire then qualifications. Offered interview over email. Interview was approx 1hour 30. Started with a 1:1 for 30 mins. Friendly but formal, chat about what I'm doing and why waitrose and then some questions on how the waitrose store can provide good customer service and then asked me to describe a time when I've done something different than I usually would and to talk about a project. Second part was a group task with a list of customer profiles and then products to match. Make sure you contribute and show team working skills. It's all fairly common sense and doesn't matter if you get it wrong, it's a task to analyse how you react in a team.
