There was an online application, group interview and then a final interview on my own. The online application was lengthy, but the questions there give a good insight into what they're looking for - people who are personable and presentable. There were 6 of us in the group interview, in which they asked us to do a series of group tasks - where they evaluated how we interacted with others, and how much we knew about the company. The final interview was more of a logistics talk - where we discussed the hours, salary, benefits of the company and holiday etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you sell this item?
- they'd given me a box of granola.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (North Finchley, England) in Jul 2016
Interview
Had my interview today for various London branches. After getting through online scenario questions I was invited to an interview at the Finchley branch. Firstly we were taken into a room where we had to fill out general information like available hours , clothes size , and area we would like to work in etc. Then we were split into groups of 2 and had to take part in group assessment which was to rank each task in order of importance and assign someone to do the task and create an action plan for this. There is no correct plan just be sure to have a reason for why you chose that order and speak up because they won't be able to judge your performance as they can't read your mind. I then took part in a one to one interview and I am now just waiting for my response
