I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Walgreens (Plano, TX) in Aug 2015
Interview
After applying online, I was called about five days later for an in-person interview with the store manager. When I arrived, I was asked to take an assessment on the computer before the interview. It consisted of opinion questions and also basic math questions, which were all multiple choice. It took about 20 minutes.
After the assessment, I was led into the office and asked some fairly standard questions. The manager was very friendly. He promised to call within two days to let me know whether or not I got the job. Even though I was not offered a job, he still called to let me know, and I was very appreciative. From the time I entered to the store to the time I left was about an hour.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walgreens (Scottsdale, AZ) in Feb 2015
Interview
I had to fill out an application online and then they said to come in to the store to finish the application process without a scheduled time. When I got there the hiring manager was there and he had me do tests on the computer. Very simple questions requiring you to figure out what change to give a customer. They also asked behavioral and scenario questions. When I was done the manager reviewed my scores and we had a sit down interview. He only really asked me one question, "why Walgreens"? Other than that he did all of the talking...telling me about Walgreens, what hours they were open and what would be required of me. I left there with him telling me I got the job pending my background check and my drug test.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens (Arlington, TX) in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied online, then went into the store to take a skills assessment the next week. The interview followed the skills assessment with the store manager. Very friendly and laid back. The interview lasted over an hour, I thought for sure I'd get a call back. but didn't. I took another job somewhere else. The manager called me today, a month later, wanting to hire me on the spot. if I passed the drug test. I didn't even go to the diagnostic center because I knew I wouldn't pass the drug test. I went home. Cried. Smoked about it. Now applying elsewhere.
