I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Walgreens (Newton, IA) in Sep 2014
Interview
My experience was very positive, although it took exactly 2 months from the day I applied online,to taking the test in the store, and getting an interview to the job offer it was a slow process which for me was nail biting. I was interviewed once, then I myself made the effort once a week or so to check back on the position.

I applied online. I interviewed at Walgreens (Deerfield, IL) in Feb 2012
Interview
The HR process takea over 3 months. Behaviorial style interviews. 3 standard rounds of interviews. "Tell me about a time...". There is alot of time between communication with HR and the hiring manager making it hard to judge if there is any interest. The system showing applicants makes it very hard for good candidates to get noticed and pre screening isn't done well as alot of non qualified individuals fall through the cracks.
