Pros

Decent pay (if you're scheduled your job and get hours)

Cons

Lack of Management Lack of support from management CRAPPY hours Full time is only considered 25 hours They will write you up without telling you You get paid as a manager for manager shifts and get paid as an associate for the other hours although you're still held to the same high standard Negative store morale Remodels majorly affect your hours Impossible to have a good work life balance Turn over rate is ridiculous and it's because A) people don't realize the amount of work that is expected from them B) the terrible working conditions that the upper management creates C) impossible work life balance

Pros

- Pay’s good, at least in comparison to other retail jobs - Some of the best people I’ve met I’ve worked with at various stores

Cons

Well, where do I start. I was effectively told that I wasn’t getting a graduate Area Manager job due to my experience at Aldi - Apparently they want people from outside the company, ignoring the fact they have literally zero idea how a store is supposed to be run. I had the requisite university grades and recommendation from my Area Manager, yet was swiftly rejected. That should tell you enough as it is. Don’t be surprised to see managers play favourites - If you’re liked then the level of work expected is drastically different to if you’re not. Area Managers tend to be micro-managers, constantly analyzing everyone’s performance and finding issues where there aren’t any. After a while, this wears on you and makes people feel hopeless.
