Pros

-Cashiers sit -No music playing in stores -Smaller grocery store -Pays pretty well and constant raises (when I started in beginning of 2021 starting was $14 and now as of beginning of 2023 its $17.50) -If you work hard and do your best you can move up fast if there are openings available. -Not much backstock because trucks get delivered every day.

Cons

When you first start out it can be overwhelming being timed when you check and the fast paced environment where you need to constantly being something but after a while you do adjust. Hopefully, depending on your store, managment really takes the time to work with employees on improving performance and speed. (The first three months they don't care as much about speed as long as they see improvement or potential.) The only other thing that can be annoying is that sometimes on schedule it can be a manager and two other employees which makes it hard to get everything done and the store presentable if someone has to be first checker and someone else curbside which leaves the manager to run backstock, pull, and clean. However this only happens ocassionally and if it's a slower day it's not too bad because curbside slows and then that employee can help out.

Pros

- Physically demanding but in a good way. You won't have to pay for a gym membership and you never skip a workout. - Possible travel to help other stores if you meet the right people. Company pays for travel and hotel if necessary.

Cons

- Retail employees can sometimes be immature. Managing them is hard. I've worked for 3 stores and the division between associates and managers can feel tense at times.
