Pros

Friendly Staff... Depending who you work with can be productive... Some team leaders do work

Cons

Pay is always wrong.. Like ALWAYS.... Favoritism with management and section leaders towards regular staff meaning some people get paid to stand around. Why have both check out runners and section leaders? Leaders should lead by example not stand around and chat and tell you to work when finding something out. Poor communication throughout the store. Asked to help cover other departments and not paid the hours as your department doesn't recognise that you was working at that time. No job opportunities to progress and terrible work life balance made to work weekends even if you have a family and made to work a late shift however when new staff join they get given a morning shift even when you have asked to change. Goes in one ear and out the other... You are made to feel like in your induction day this is a great place to work but honestly not. Would be okay if you don't have a family or not bothered about working hours. Conditions are bad and dirty extremely dirty. My advise would be avoid at all cost.

Pros

Driving all day is no problem, listening to music, working alone suited me fine, not having to deal with as many people as you would in store.

Cons

Oh where to begin. Pickers not having orders ready on time. Constant calls about why you are late (never my fault - traffic, wrong orders, etc.) Management very arrogant and hypocritical and lack basic understanding of proper scheduling delivers. Rota's and hours changed at last minute notice all the time. Not getting a break (illegal). General awful management - to be fair Asda as a customer were always OK with me, but to work for they were very unprofessional and unorganised. I've heard my particular store in Cumbernauld had very bad management through the years, and has only recently came under new management, time will tell if there is improvements.

Pros

Some fantastic colleagues and local to home

Cons

Bullying management! When you complain to another manager you are treated like you are the problem.......stop supporting each other to do the wrong thing and use your position to bring back professionalism and the ethics and beliefs that Asda quote.
