I have met a lot of very good friends since working at asda I find my time very good there but asda is getting very very un workable and puts so much stress on us managers

Flexible, Always overtime, 10% discount, cheap collegue food

Cons

Home shopping drivers get no extra than other Collegues compared to other retailer's home shopping drivers even though job is much harder than sitting on a checkout, out on own, unsafe at night, pressured into overtime, rubbish career progression, Awful management, constantly running late due to shocking management in store and items not being picked in time. Was in city centre so constant 4th floor flats which other Companys e.g Tesco and Sainsbury's refuse to deliver to with no lift access. People stealing from vans. Tote's constantly loaded above the 25kg limit.

Pros

-Extremely friendly atmosphere, always felt like my line manager had my back -Very fast-paced, but I never felt like I was sacrificing my work-life balance -Intellectually curious work

Cons

-Due to how the company is performing things always felt uncertain - half the team ended up being cut a few months after I have left -Lots of travelling to different stores, but you end up being compensated for the inconvenience pretty fairly -Systems and HR is non-existent - I spent like 3 months trying to hand-in my P45 from a previous job and ended up being on an emergency tax-code for the time (which led to some liquidity issues as it massively taxes you)
