Pros

Some good colleagues out in the warehouse. Ok pay for a warehouse job.

Cons

Unrealistic pick rates (1800 per shift). Have to book holidays weeks in advance. Dead end job. Back breaking labour. Boring and repetitive. Warehouse is filthy. Management are uncaring and incapable of empathy. Managers talk to you like crap and treat you like an animal.

Pros

Pay is good. Thats it

Cons

TIME TO WHISTLEBLOW Management appalling. Just awful. Some of them just walked away when I was talking to them about issues including safeguarding a child. Pharmacy in head office is so disconnected from the reality of whats happening in stores it is scary at conference recently. TOXIC POSITIVITY. No time given to train colleagues. Most colleagues left already. To do whats expected and meet targets you have to work through breaks, get there early, leave late. ASDA went from a two pharmacist split shift day in a lot of stores to just one doing 12 hours. So in week two, Monday to Saturday its 60hours!!! But head office won't admit this doesn't work. Plus two thirty minute breaks where you spend 5 mins getting to staff room each way at other end of store, then you get berated by customers for even taking a break. Honestly. Security is right at the other end of the store and offer no help when you call because you're in danger or being abused. ASDA aren't fixing broken shelving despite it being reported, putting staff safety in jeopardy. Point out to management that staff aren't getting any support and patient safety is being put in jeopardy, nothing improves. Pharmacists being asked to double check medications because ASDA can't get dispensers because they can't compete with local wages or hours. But if a patient suffered a checking / handout error it would be the pharmacist who would suffer the consequences. ASDA used to have plenty of cleaners (ASDA ACES) but that was years ago. Now their stores are just constantly dirty. The pharmacy floor doesn't get mopped with disinfectant. It gets sprayed with just water and wiped.
