Pros

Good job security, employee 10% discount on George and ASDA purchases, annual Christmas bonus if working 1+ years, and opportunities to purchase shares in ASDA, very good inter-colleague friendship and co-operation: I miss colleagues more than I do the customers.

Cons

A lot of bureaucracy and red-tape to go through to get trained on front-desk - often the training is rushed and I agree that learning on-the-job is sometimes the only necessary way of completing training. Sometimes it takes too long to receive uniform clothing because of strained budgets or lack of inventory in-store for new starts. I can remember waiting a month for a new pair of trousers.
