Pros

The friendliness of all the colleagues and the respect you receive from everybody no matter how high up they are in the company, I also love the flexibility of the job because I know that if I need more hours I will be able to find them somewhere in the company

Cons

The cons would be the pay is lower than other supermarkets and that the uniform doesn't look very nice at all

Pros

The other staff are friendly the work is easy and the pay is above minimum wage

Cons

They constantly badger colleagues for overtime because they employ us on small contracts. My contract hasn't been accurate for over a year and nobody has fixed it. Holidays are almost never granted (from weeks to single shifts), even when requested months in advance. We are either massively overstaffed or understaffed. Every process (being added to a system, being given electronic access to an area or keys, being properly trained on almost anything, uniform requests) takes far lo her than it needs to. Discount cards are rarely distributed on time (mine was around 7 months late)

Working at ASDA

Pros

Flexible shifts available. Lots of opportunities to develop. Friendly atmosphere with good staff benefit schemes including discretionary annual bonus.

Cons

Horribly understaffed in many departments, poor rate of pay compared to similar businesses. High staff turnover means you have new people who don't know what they're doing constantly. Many stores reliant on overtime which results in awful results if people decide they only want to work their contracted hours. , ma,
