Pros

Working at Asda is good because the environment is lovely and everyone is very sociable. The staff work as a team. Pay is also good

Cons

The only downside is that the hours can sometimes be abit unreasonable and you do have to be quite flexible,

Pros

Flexible around university/education Career breaks possible Generally supportive managers 10% discount, double discount days throughout year. Lots of opportunities to step up from colleague to section leader. Feels like a community.

Cons

NOT ENOUGH TRAINING FOR SHOP FLOOR POSITIONS! Increasingly difficult for section leaders to step up to management since they've downsized the number of managers in-store. Changes in policy without informing all staff. Little communication between Management, Section Leaders and Colleagues. Pressure on Section Leaders to do long hours. Increasing amount of pressure on employees.

Pros

Simple work. Mostly nice people to work with and training is sufficient but not excellent. Simple enough recruitment process. Need to be better informed about taking right to work documents to first session. Quite good benefits if used like law club and simply health. DISCOUNT CARD!

Cons

Low pay. Working conditions not conducive to a happy workplace. Can be quite physical without much brainpower needed. Equipment and facilities tend to be poor in order to save costs. For example: shoddy delivery vans. No staff canteen apart from breakfast
