Pros

I have worked here for quite a long time. Have loved most of it. Most colleagues are lovely.

Cons

Unproffesionism to the up most. NOTHING is confidential. Management is poor. No communication. Hard work ignored, lazy people praised. Management do not care in the slightest about their colleagues. Brakes are clock watched but management can take hours. I was told on starting at asda that if you make a decision involving a customer I.e ID checked etc. Then section leaders and management would back you. I have witnessed the opposite and management even telling customers that their colleagues are in the wrong etc when they haven't been just make themselves look good. There is no compassion where personal circumstances are Involved..... 20 minute rule with fresh food is ignored as is colleague safety. Nothing is ever appreciated. The list could go on forever. There is a good reason for all the good members of staff leavinh.. ..before long you will have none.

Pros

Can't think of any, whatsoever

Cons

Dirty smelly vans and crates, dirty warehouse, customers treat you like dirt, low wages, impossible time deadlines, patronisingly unhelpful bullying and miserable dispatch staff who only do that job to dodge doing deliveries, dangerous working conditions, you are expected to deliver crates of water up many flights of stairs, sometimes up to 25 crates per customer (who just watches you break your back then just slams the door in your face) stressful journeys, pointless journeys, getting messed around when you return filling out re delivery forms and putting customers shopping back, having to explain to customers why you cannot make their delivery, to which you get verbally abused, getting home at one in the morning, only to do it all again the next day, it is a demoralising job and I would not recommend it to anybody. Do this job and eventually something will happen to you, ie accidents and injuries are commonplace, no matter how careful you are. Half the drivers are off sick with bad backs, knees, shoulders, and work related stress. Arguments and bickering between dispatch and delivery drivers are a common thing, all in all it leaves you going home feeling miserable. Absolutely horrible job. I wish I never took up the position. I am going to leave.
