Pros

The people you meet there are wonderful. Be prepared to meet likeminded people who enjoy working with different clients to deliver the absolute best. One of the best consulting firms that delivers tangible, operational services unlike big 4 accounting or big 3 consulting firms. You will learn the strategic and operational aspects of delivering projects.

Cons

Management seems to be fantastic at making you feel like there's exciting opportunities in the near future. Potential sales in the pipeline, a big diamond client about to take on more work with us, strong growth, you name it, However, that near future never is never near enough, as you are met with a lack of career growth and tangible growth in salary. Be prepared to write down a bunch of personal development SMART goals that you can't stick to because you'll end up working on whatever project is available. You'll have to network hard to talk to managers and directors who always have their plate full working with clients to get a project that you like. They like to say you can do anything at Accenture - but once you find something you want to develop your career on, there's a lack of clarity and guidance from people leads. Depending on your project lead, your experience can vary immensely. Be prepared to be micromanaged to the T and work long hours into the night, or be super independent, Team morale is rock bottom unfortunately. Directors are upset with internal engagement but don't make enough of an effort to engage with team members. External hiring continues while internal employees have clear promotion timelines. Churn rate is high as many junior members have quit as a result.
