Pros

Fantastic benefits and perks. Family friendly. Employees are well compensated relative to the rest of the industry. There is great "vibe' to the company and of course the cool factor.

Cons

Adobe talks a good game with it comes to Diversity & Inclusion but the proof is in the numbers - only a small percentage of black and brown people are able to move up the ranks and there's barely any representation in the C-Suite. My observation is that there is a layer of mediocre tenured middle managers who enjoy the perks and the compensation and have no desire to do more and achieve more than what they've done in the past decade+ at the company, and these folks are the ones who then serve as the gatekeepers and barriers to advancement for high achievers of color who are looking to progress. Adobe is a fantastic place as long as career advancement isn't a priority for you.

Pros

- It's really hard to get PIPed/fired - Everyone's generally really nice and I've never really encountered workplace toxicity that wasn't immediately addressed - Work life balance is about as good as it gets - Despite commands from leadership, hardly anyone is working on-site >50%

Cons

- No one ever quits or gets fired, so there's little opportunity for upward or lateral mobility - The larger/older the codebase, the more difficult it is to contribute, and the more fragile the automation/build pipeline - The fact that so many still WFH makes it really difficult to get things from people when you need them -- expect Slack responses in either 2 minutes or 2 days
