Pros

- Interesting industry - Never a dull moment. In the last 6 months I have learned so much about new software programs and technologies. - Great downtown location (Denver) - Great benefits - Fun people to work with - Free snacks - Awesome commuter benefits -- free EcoPass for the bus and Light Rail

Cons

Like my review title says, I've been with Marketo since mid 2018. I was looking for a job with a growing company, where I could stay for awhile and take my career in an interesting new direction. I had just gotten to the point where I felt like I had a good handle on my job, responsibilities, and all the different systems that impact my job. Then in mid-September, the announcement came that Marketo was being acquired by Adobe. We were given a date of mid-November when we would find out what was going to happen to our jobs. I was given a "transition" date of mid-2019. It was very stressful having that mid-November date looming out there like an execution date. The entire atmosphere changed, and went from people all generally working together and supporting each other, to people sniping at each other and finger pointing. It was a complete morale killer. In addition, many jobs were relocated to Denver from San Mateo. It was months of building the workforce out here, and laying people off in the Bay Area. It's well known that the wheels on this acquisition started turning in at least April, so why go through the motions of hiring hundreds of people only to turn around and lay them off? Many people feel as if they've had the rug pulled out from under them. In some cases, people even uprooted their families and relocated to take a job with Marketo, only to learn that they'll be laid off in a year. It was very dishonest and disingenuous, and decimated most of the good will and positive spirit that made Marketo a really cool, fun place to work.

Pros

I can't think of one.

Cons

Adobe Stock is not a good company to join. You can join here if you want to commit suicide . Lots of Stress in Work, Unrealistic expectations, Full of Office Politics. Engineering head doesn't treat people well. The environment he creates is very toxic, with few middle managers.

Pros

A boquet of benefits that no other company offers and it is unmatchable. Work is good.

Cons

The managers who are there with Adobe for more than 10 years are experts at manipulating things and playing politics, especially with newer employees. They will knowingly undermine your good work to highlight that of others.
