Pros

Dominant player in Cell Phone CPU market Great Benefits Attempt to provide good corp comms

Cons

Weak Exec. Mgmt (Engineers that think they can manage) If you aren't Brit, you are out of luck Lost in the fog - insufficient mgmt capital for the size of the company. ARM has grown beyond ARM's ability to manage (and mgmt doesn't realize this is the case) Exec Mgmt that don't know how to win / what the goal is.

Pros

Great Benefits - very good vacation (can even sell back 1 week), 6% 401 K match, very good stock grants. Good brand and relationship with other companies, opportunities to get info on ARM and partners good opportunities for training etc

Cons

Not all sites/divisions are good places to work at Very political, some individuals have undue influence, it is a very us vs them kind of place Need to stay on good side of Cambridge people cooperate services like HR, IT, legal are not friendly , even your boss's boss can not help you with them Real communication with management is very week, can be very bureaucratic

Pros

Cambridge is nice Reputable company Possibility of internal moves

Cons

If you're a compiler engineer or a software engineer joining a compiler team under CE-SW, please reconsider. Upper management are known to play favourites, hold on to toxic employees, you can complain a million times about bullying and discrimination but the ones who bully and discriminate are not held accountable since they are friends of the managers. The diversity of the teams are on the decline and when these issues are raised the response is usually “there's nothing we can do”. I would stay away unless you're hired based on a personal connection to the engineering managers.

We’re sorry to read about your experience on the compiler side of the business. Bullying and discrimination are not acceptable at Arm, and we take these concerns extremely seriously. Diversity, equity and inclusion are central to how we operate, and the behaviours you describe do not reflect the culture we are committed to building. Please raise this directly with the People team or with Ethics so the issues can be properly investigated; if you prefer, you can also reach out via glassdoor@arm.com with more detail. Your feedback matters, and we want to understand it fully.
