Pros

if you get into a friendly team, it is a great workplace. some people are easier to get along with than others, but overall it is a welcoming environment.

Cons

incredibly layered hierarchy, often you're not sure who the decision maker is, and it can take weeks to get an answer to questions. For such a progressive thinking company, I think they need to streamline the decision making.

Thanks for leaving a review of your internship! We pride ourselves on making the work environment one that is inclusive and friendly, and I'm happy to read that you experienced that during your internship. The approach smaller companies take to make decisions is drastically different than that of a large company. Since we have grown rather quickly in the last few years, we have had to change our way of thinking in how we approach decision making, as you are absolutely right that process can be streamlined to be more efficient. That being said, we do hope to see you back at ARM once you complete your studies either as another summer internship or as a Graduate Engineering position. -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager

Thank you for leaving a review. I'm sorry that you feel that ARM is a bad company to work for. I'm going to assume that you meant to put "monotonous work" and "no facilities for employees" under the cons, and not pros, and that you don't have any positive experiences working at ARM. Regarding our facilities, we are limited to the office building we're located in Bangalore, so things like a sports facility may be difficult to get put in the office. As for the food, I can't speak to our Bangalore office, but I have passed along this feedback to relevant team members. We offer a competitive wage, and when you also factor in the equity and benefits that we offer to all full time employees, ARM compares quite favorably to other high tech companies, especially when you factor in things like work-life balance. If you still feel that your pay is significantly below the average, please do bring it up in your upcoming TAP review. It will also be a good time to bring up your work (or even earlier in your regular 1:1's), if you consider it monotonous, as it's easier to course correct through multiple stages throughout the year as opposed to one big review at the end of the year. Pros

ARM is everywhere, working with great people, good work / life balance. You work on some cool projects, your work is relevant to billions of devices around the world.

Cons

Bad pay, ridiculous savings (on office material, computers, IT budget, food). Specialization and affinity with management has more importance on promotions than competence.
