Pros
Everyone's experience will no doubt be different and no one review will decide how you get on in the company but what I can do is share my experience. Starting off with the positives: - Good name to have on your CV - You'll work on big clients , so the experience is good - Some great people working here, highly skilled and competent. Emphasis on the some. - Working with Accenture teams is 50/50 depending on the sector they operate in - If you're entry level its a good place to get exposure to consulting. -Work life balance is fine when not on a project
Cons
Here's a list of things which evidently made me leave the company: -Lack of training opportunities , you wont be allowed if you're on a project and you're expected to be on project all the time, its consulting. -Projects are normally a mess, all but one were not enjoyable -Not great pay, will only offer more when you leave -Hard to get promoted and the people who do are normally the people who have the right connections or in the right circle. -Heavy focus on chargeability - being on a project above 85% of you time if you're manager and under. If you're not on a project and not chargeable its seen as your fault, even though you have little to no influence on when a project actually lands. Lots of people are given the chargeability excuse when denied promotion. -Most people are fine but you get a few people in this org who are quite bullish and will micromanage, order you around and even say things behind your back. - International work is highly limited , don't think about it , you'll most likely be stuck in the office you get hired in.
