Pros

There are tons of opportunities to learn new MS technologies and to get in-depth experience with a variety of .NET skills. There are many training classes and programs available (although on your own time - after you've put in your 40+ hours for your client/project). Also, it's great having the opportunity to work with very smart people.

Cons

Avanade is a very male-centric company, the pay/compensation is mediocre, and the annual review process isn't based on merit = it's based on who you know and shows a lot of favoritism.

Pros

A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.

Cons

There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.

Pros

- the people are nice, although you do not actually work with them since everyone is on their own client - pay is better than some competitors (e.g., deloitte) - still far below tech industry software engineering average - gamified promotion system (positive when the market is good, very negative when the market is poor)

Cons

- no vision for the future - clearly being absorbed by accenture and no one admits to it - leadership dropping like flies (laid off, willingly taking other jobs) - avanade ran through multiple CEOs in the last 2-3 years - lack of promotions and salary bumps for well over 3 years - partially not avande's fault, but no one needs consulting anymore due to the rise of AI. this has simply made this business model not profitable, and has clearly hit company morale, salaries, hiring, and culture. - can be stuck on a project for a LONG time with no real way to get out
