Avanade is highly focused on employee growth, and leadership is comprised mostly of great people who are committed to personal growth opportunities. As part of Accenture, Avanade is also part of a much larger company that drives career growth opportunity.

Cons

Avanade's horizontally-oriented organization favors self-starters and people who have strong social skills. Sometimes finding the best opportunities is a matter of guiding your own agenda.

Strong technical people, Nice extended benefit. The Bench.

Cons

I was only at Avanade for 9 months. I was sold on the strategy shift towards digital and the opportunity to build that out. I was also told the travel would be more like it was in an agency. In the end none of that proved true. I was specialized in mobile applications and didn't work on or see one mobile application project in the pipeline. Avanade is VERY Microsoft centric. Too much so in today's world. I also wish I'd have know that Avanade was essentially Accenture's Microsoft arm. I would never have joined the company as there's nothing about Accenture staff aug that appeals to me. Travel is 100% no matter what they tell you. Career opportunities are limited and driven by how much revenue you generate or save especially at the higher levels.
