Pros

Benefits, free coffee, holiday pay is great,

Cons

I currently work at the BSC it has became a joke. Management changes policies as it benefits them. They say they are flexible but they are not. Even if approved to leave or come in late you will be dinged on it. Management does not trust anyone acts as everyone is out to get everyone. You are truly disposible. You have no value to them.

Pros

Client base and hands-on learning from some of the most knowledgeable people is GREAT. You really will learn some phenomenal public accounting information from great seasoned staff.

Cons

You are treated like a servant by some staff. Your intelligence will always be questioned because they don't believe you are as talented as you are. They will not communicate with you, and you will not be trained properly. The on-boarding process is a nightmare. When you mention your concerns to your supervisor, the entire staff knows about them. They lack professionalism and act in a retaliatory manner to you if you speak up.

Pros

Free Barista coffees and a very nice subsidised canteen. Good location in Central London.

Cons

There is No IT senior management strategy, constant knee jerk reaction from one direction to the other, depending on the day/week. Management seem clueless in my opinion to run an IT department, it’s a revolving door of staff. Mostly made up of contractors, the permanent staff don't stay very long (unless you are in the boy’s club) with the constant back stabbing and the intrenched politics. The meeting rooms have absolutely no privacy, paper thin partitions, everyone is listening in on everyone's private conversations and reporting back to management, this seems to be encouraged. It’s like working in a Police state! You're frightened to say word to anyone.
