Pros

If you can land the right assignment, it is a good place to start. Make sure that you work closely with your resource manager to get great assignments that will advance your career.

Cons

Poor senior leadership. Most know the consulting business, but have no clue as to how to manage an organization. For a company that its major asset is human capital, they have no understanding of basic human resource management. Make sure that you work closely with your resource manager to get the right assignments to advance your career. You will really have to apply yourself to make this happen. Leadership is not likely to move you to an assignment that will advance your career if you are working at another client. Try to avoid being bounced around from PM's or MD's as much as possible. You can very easily fall through the cracks and not get noticed for salary reviews and promotions.

Pros

Experience and travel - I learned more about SQA than I thought I would. I also love travel and in 1.5 years I traveled to many different cities in the US and Canada. Also networked with some amazing people at the staff level and one senior manager that was truly amazing. These people knew SQA and how to help an enterprise achieve their SQA goals.

Cons

While I said travel was good, it is also bad. It kept me away from my family too much. Additoinally, management did not treat the lower levels of staff very well at all. I also worked with a couple of very unprofessional senior managers.

Pros

Good name. Lot's of oppurtunity if you're not job hopping. If you are, this isn't the place. BE needs committed and talented people who can focus on making the clients happy. If that continues, the rest takes care of itself. Have a great work life balance program. None better!

Cons

Despite profitable and growning...huge debt load is a major drag! It pervades everything in the company! Seems like senior management is really trying to make the best of a bad situation. Seems like we're in a race against time now that the ecomomy has gone in the loo! The hard part is trying to get the job done with all of this hanging over us. Senior management encourages us to keep focused...
