Pros

Pretty cool to work here if you don't have big expectations.

Cons

You will get a promotion only if they have a project where they need a more advanced employee (e.g client asked for a consultant so you promote an analyst to a consultant if you can) , the yearly review it's not a true reason for the salary increase or the bonus, what matter is if you have projects (so charged hours), otherwise they will give you some other reasons to not increase your salary. Management is only based on who talks more in meetings, that's the person who will be more like a cop in the team. Everybody complains about how much work we have, but we all have the same work to do sometimes, and someone finish it 2-3 days after everybody did, and then they complain that they had the heavy part of the job. Also, if bearingpoint get a client who needs some consultants to help him with some software (for example Coupa) and bearingpoint has no consultants on that side, it will force you to do a certification extremely fast just to get that client, even if the team has ZERO experiente on that platform. And on the other side, you cannot get any other certifications but the ones that they consider usefull. Please note this review is from my experience and yours may differ.

BearingPoint Response

Good afternoon, Thank you for your feedback. With regards to your comment on work permits, we're disappointed to hear that this was how you felt about your experience with us. Diversity and inclusion are central to our strategy and as a result a key business priority. We're very proud that we currently employ people from 22 different countries and work hard to provide the right support for each one when they join us. As such we put all necessary structures and processes in place to support international hiring activities including having a colleague dedicated to processing work permits resulting in us having Trusted Partner status with DBEI and we respect and uphold its rules in full. With regards to support from management/your manager, it is essential each employee asks for whatever additional support or guidance they feel they need. None of our managers will leave an individual without support but each individual is responsible for their own career development and must proactively seek the support they need. Regarding salary and working hours, we benchmark our salaries annually against consulting and industry best practice so that we know our salaries and benefits are in line with the market. We have a very flexible hybrid working policy which we receive positive feedback from staff on. Some additional hours may be required from time to time at key milestone stages on projects, but this is not regular practice and work/life balance is an area that features positively in our staff survey. Again, thanks for your feedback. It is a shame you did not raise your concerns when you worked with the company, and we hope this response provides clarification for you.
