Pros

It's a big company with some opportunities to move to new projects. The training programs they offer where employees do a workshop at Yale University seems like a good gig. They seem to pay pretty well. My co-workers are young and fun. Public services is a strong segment.

Cons

The company is a listed company and the BE stock is not doing so well. In addition, segments of the company are not pulling their weight. They hire and retain people with clearances even if they aren't qualified. There is a lot fo on-the-job training which slows delivery.

Pros

BearingPoint is an excellent place to start fresh out of school. If you end up on a decent, long-term project, getting your first promotion in roughly a year seems highly likely. The paid-time-off is about as good as it gets, at 20 days. Supposedly, there are many opportunities for mobility within the company, although moving around is not typically good for career advancement.

Cons

Employee performance reviews used to be semi-annual; now they come around only once a year. This means you have to wait until year end for possible promotions. The poor financial status of the company is highly reflected in employee raises and promotions. Does not reimburse for advanced degree. If you're not on a project and sitting on the bench for longer than a month, it appears highly likely that you will be let go. May not be your fault whatsoever but the bottom line for this company has been the top priority especially as of late.

Pros

The company provides for a good work life balance. The company also provides a good medial plan. The 401 K matching could improve.

Cons

The company leadership is too reactionary. The company has a very poor accounting systems which negatively impacts the decisions the senior leadership is making. Too make matters worse, a large portion of the management base performance on a metric called utilization, which is hours charged to a client divided by the net available hours. This is problamatic because it does not take into account the actual costs of the individuals working on the project, which may lead to a project running over it's budget.
