Pros

Great discount, flexible schedule for part timers & tuition reimbursement for full timers

Cons

Managers don't care about employees, every man for himself type of mentality. You can be infected with pink eye or have the flu & they will hassle you about being sick & have to come into work or you get into trouble. No sense of rewarding employees who consistently go above and beyond their roles for the business. Very unprofessional in sense of pay. Annual raises that are nothing & not based off of your own work but off of the business. You can hit goals & go beyond but if everyone isn't doing the same you too must suffer because of them.

Pros

Good discount, good coworkers, helping customers is rewarding and helps time fly by.

Cons

No breaks unless you work over 8 hours and even then - you may be asked to skip your break. Work part timers 37-38 hours to avoid giving out health benefits. Set unrealistic goals and tell you every time you work that you aren't at your goal and you need to do better. Talked down to as if you are incompetent by certain managers - others are better.

Pros

Basically the only good part about working here is the Employee Discount.

Cons

If you are on the sales floor customers assume that you work on commission and try to jerk you around on price. At Best Buy you aren't paid on commission, but you are still mercilessly hounded at as if you were. If you are in the warehouse, everyone else in the store (including managers) neglects their responsibilities and leave the burden with you. Warehouse associates basically run everything in the store for a dollar more than minimum wage and are held responsible when anything in the store goes wrong. Warehouse associates do all the heavy lifting while the Sales Team gets bonuses all day. You also have no opportunity for career growth. You want to get anywhere in the company don't get in the warehouse. If you get stuck there get out asap. Doesn't matter what department you are in for these: You will constantly get your hours cut, and then the next day they will turn around and try to call you in against your availability. Also If you request off in advance and you get it approved you will still wind up scheduled on those days off.
