Going downhill fast

Pros

The other employees in my store are great for the most part (the ones that are left) and they are the only reason I'm still here.

Cons

During the pandemic corporate saw record numbers in online sales with very little store staffing, so they thought it would be a good idea to push this business model. Cutting much of the long tenured employees in favor of part time employees and drastically reduced labor spending. Slowly increasing store hours while spending less on labor leaves many employees spread very thin trying to assist multiple customers at a time.

Pros

Not really much, they are cutting commissions.

Cons

Adding programs to manage you and micro manage your time that takes up hours of your day to fill out

Getting Worse

Pros

The people, Best Buy recruits amazing people to work for them. Employee Discounts are pretty awesome on certain items, if you work hard and have a good attitude you can promote quickly.

Cons

My pay has decreased consistently since the model change. The spiff changes have been really bad, and only benefit consultants and designers in Best Buy premium locations.
