All depends on the department

Pros

Attempts are made at culture and some groups definitely have a more positive working experience than others

Cons

Some departments including mine load an incredible amount of work onto people in the name of keeping labour costs down. Constant stream of 'that person can do it' even when already at the breaking point. In my experience new hires are added only when you are doing a full 2 persons jobs, barely doing the minimum of it all to get through everything on time.

Pros

Discount, accommodations, playing with new stuff.

Cons

Management, being treated like you're replaceable, repetitive quotas, no recognition, pay, favoritism, poor or no training, trained to treat customers like money bags.
