-smart colleagues and not much politicking on the reporter level -generous pay and healthcare benefits -strong philanthropic core belief, company is a stellar corporate citizen -lots of ability to move around in new jobs - you'll never grow stale

Cons

-is a fair amount of upper-level politicking -downside to collaboration is that it can eat up time you want to spend on your own stories -sometimes too many editors have their fingers in the pot on enterprise stories -Good 401(k) match but some of the funds don't have the lowest expense ratios possible
