Pros

Rewards those who perform well Good salary and benefits Opportunity to work with some of the best in the biz

Cons

No work-life balance. Your on duty 24/7. Promotes constructive paranoia and the competition between colleagues can sometimes reach abnormal levels CEO says he wants to make the company green but disposable cups and food packaging in the ktichens , heated tropical fish tanks with sharks and fresh flowers in boardrooms no matter the season suggests a different reality.

Pros

Great benefits, including health care, onsite medical clinic, 401k, snacks/beverages, summer picnic, etc. Solid salary.

Cons

Bloomberg prides itself on being "transparent" but management is not transparent AT ALL. No care for employee mental health. Not supportive of employee professional growth. Low annual salary increases (less than 2%) even with stellar performance reviews. HR issues (discrimination, sexual harassment) swept under the rug.
