Pros

Smart colleagues and medical benefits

Cons

Hires too many people, and then lets go too many people. I joined the firm believing in a career growth but was blind sighted by being placed in PIP. Cannot trust anything they say anymore.

Pros

- Incredible community of like-minded people looking to genuinely help and grow one another - Amazing benefits - Great pay - Excellent perks (free lunches, lots of in office snacks, summer retreats, Holiday gifts) - Managers who genuinely care about you - Great training and resources - Good work/life balance for EAs, generally not expected to work outside of your normal office hours and most colleagues respect that

Cons

- EA work is extremely fast-paced and the calendars are always changing, not for the faint of heart - Some coworkers (typically Consultants or Project Leaders) would tend to only have a transactional relationship with EA's and make no effort to treat them as colleagues, but thankfully they were few and far between

Pros

Good benefits, beautiful centrally located office close to transit

Cons

The Toronto office feels very impersonal, almost non-existent culture, distinct divide between the consulting group and the business services group (where the EAs belong), not very friendly environment, apathetic management (pretends to care but no action). The job is very basic (calendar and expenses) with very little ability to learn beyond that or do anything else. Growth potential is almost nil. Promotion to Senior EA is very bureaucratic. The job is boring. Unless one wants a 'secretarial role', stay away. Not a real Executive Assistant position.
