I worked at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for 6 years, then left for industry before starting my own small business, and then eventually came back. People always ask me "why did you come back"? Here the three reasons: 1) People. The people who work at BCG at consistently some of the most dedicated, smartest, and humble people that you'll ever meet. There is an expression that says "you are the average of the five people around you". I truly believe that being surrounded each and every day by the amazing people who work at BCG make me a better person. 2) Impact. It sounds cliche to say "we partner with clients to solve their toughest problems", but the very business model of BCG is to identify every day the greatest challenges that clients face and find a way to help. The greater the impact, the greater the fees. And given the size and growth of BCG, we are now continuously tackling THE biggest challenges out there. 3) Learning.
