Pros

BCG is truly committed to your personal and professional growth. The learning opportunities are endless, whether through formal training or by working on impactful projects. The culture here is one of the best I've seen; You’re surrounded by smart, collaborative, and motivated people who push you to be your best but also have your back when things get tough. There's also a strong focus on innovation. BCG has done a great job shifting strategic planning from historical analysis, to future looking with strong capabilities in AI, Personalization. Flexibility and work-life balance are improving, with more attention on making sure people feel supported. You can really see the investment in people, which sets BCG apart from competitors. Benefits are top-notch, and the firm is constantly evolving to make sure it’s a great place to work, with an emphasis on well-being.

Cons

Consulting hours can still be demanding, especially on certain projects, but that's pretty much expected across the industry. The pace can be fast, which is great for development but can also be challenging if you're not used to it. Luckily, the team is always there to help when things get intense.

Pros

Good pay Best benefits Nice offices

Cons

The company operates in business consulting and lacks a focus on software projects. Many engineers face layoffs within two years, regardless of their talent or industry reputation, often with performance being cited as the reason. Every six months, employees are required to justify why they should keep their job, but without access to meaningful projects, proving your value becomes nearly impossible.

Pros

Free lunches, nice office space, friendly people, relaxed dress code, and lots of company events. I worked in Nexus so the office was very diverse!

Cons

There is truly no interest in accessibility, despite the existence of an Accessibility ERG. I indicated to HR that I am hard of hearing and that was met with silence. When the office had town halls, the audio was always spotty and very few videos on their learning management system had closed captioning. The ATL Nexus leadership needs to actually listen to the feedback their employees give them rather than glaze over constructive criticisms with, “Well, we can’t please everyone and only disgruntled people respond like that.” The promotion track is absurdly slow and based upon time in a role rather than quantifiable measures of performance so attrition was inevitable. People are also woefully under-compensated in non-client-serving roles and simultaneously expected to pay $35 a day to park in the deck connected to the office.
