Pros

Variety of destinations and great mix of crew. Extensive 6 week training course. Good staff travel when you can get on!

Cons

Low basis salary meaning good crew don't stay long. Minimum rest downroute. Too much cost cutting that making money has become their number one priority and no longer their customers. Crew are over worked with little rest downroute can only result in low performance and bad customer experience.

Pros

- Travelling - Pay was moderate in comparison to other airlines - Challenging work environment

Cons

- Commuting costs; Living in London is extortionate so many Crew commute, however, it cost me a 1/3 of my salary to do so - Lack of progression; There are two paths to follow to progress to becoming a manager, however, the workloads for these 'trainee managers' is disgraceful, but it is seen as part of the role, and yet there is no pay increase until you are fully qualified - Lack of work/life balance; the shortfall of Crew means that there is added pressure to work longer routes with less rest. Ended up spending more time sleeping in my car than my own bed

Pros

Study support and in-house training school to develop into an engineer.

Cons

Limited opportunities to develop into other areas due to a percentage pay increase only, causing huge disparity between colleagues on same roles. Penny-pinching mode for the last few years. Management subservient to IAG to the detriment of BA.
