COVID return to work in US puts employees at risk

Pros

Some strong teams with subject matter expertise. Good learning environment if you get the right managers.

Cons

Top-down management does not care about employee safety. Many other tech companies are prioritizing work from home and offering stipends to help, HR is tracking employee badging and basically offering people “the choice” of going in to the office or taking unpaid leave. At a time when case numbers in California is going through the roof. But they’ll give you a stipend for testing if you want to get tested. Oh and a cellphone to track you.

Pros

Excellent pay and great stock performance. Benefits are good, 401K is excellent. If you solely care about making money then this will be a good fit.

Cons

Run super lean, lots of work, lonely environment, not open to gaining efficiency. Buys companies all the time, COA environment because people are scared to lose their jobs, always adding more work while driving headcount down. Runs flat so hard to grow. No work life balance, you are always on call.

Pros

Can do attitude--no politics-total commitment and fun A strong vision for people and really talented people A great leader and exceptional global team who achieved a lot-in the right way Cross cultural and virtual skills massively enhanced as this way or no way here

Cons

Questionable decisions by executive leadership which ultimately cost the business Excessive restrictions on travel to the detriment of global working Some over the top -1950s style bureaucracy which totally contradicted an innovation culture Commercially and client weak--People leadership a very distant second to Technical
