I work in Central Engineering, for 10 years already. Really smart people work here, among the best in the industry. The environment is stimulating and the way they treat employees is really good.

Cons

We got sold to Avago.

Run by engineers, healthy percent of profit directed back to R&D, founders involved day to day operation, wonderful family day, amazing yearly technical conference. Engineers feel like hero's.

Cons

Remote sites treated like second class citizens. Huge concern about future under Avago - all the Pros in this review are in jeopardy.

work environment is healthy...People in general are helpful but you do come across some odd ones...

Cons

good people are leaving as competitors are scooping them up... couple of bad acquisitions by the company management which has hurt company bad...bay area salary is below par and probably primary reason for good people leaving the company left and right...there is no vacation policy (called as unlimited vacation) but most of the people are not able to take it at all as the higher ups don't encourage it....
