Pros

* still free food * cool office and gym

Cons

* Toxic positivity throughout: you bring in problems, you are the problems * Incompetent middle management that blames their fault on IC * BLAME-FUL engineering culture: you had a bug, well, wait for it to reflect on your review * HR team protects managers mostly * eng department is a boys' clubs * All people are getting treated equally. If you know someone higher up, you will get treated more equally. * Lots of CEO's decisions feel like bangs on the head

Pros

good pay, good benefits, hybrid set-up

Cons

This company is funny. They promote toxic positivity, but the employees, especially in the design department, are bratty and bullies. Team members are sipsip to the coach and leads, even you already raised the concern, they still join these bullies sa chismis. Always doing nothing but bullying others. The behavior is particularly terrible among those from the big four universities. Trash! Like, teh seriously? you guys don't have character development?

Pros

- Chefs are amazing - Fun initiatives - (Some) People are great - Good Pay and benefits

Cons

Canva promotes itself as a value-driven organization, but my experience was far from that. Favoritism runs deep within the culture. Management lacks consistency and direction. Constant structural changes disrupt active deals and quotas, largely due to disorganized operations and poor data hygiene. The Sales Ops team often couldn't keep territories or data aligned, and AEs were left to wait until the mess is cleaned up while still being held accountable for numbers. Some managers are judgmental and unprofessional. If you don't align with them personally, they will find ways to push you out. There is no true feedback culture. Challenging decisions or speaking up is seen as insubordination, not constructive input. It's very much a "my way or the highway" environment. There's no formal ramp or support structure, just high pressure from day one and fear-mongering. I've seen talented, hardworking people let go without a performance improvement plan, despite genuine efforts to succeed. It's disappointing, especially from a company that markets itself as innovative and people-first. Canva has potential, but unless leadership becomes more accountable. The revolving door will continue.
